More Spain and Romano from Acen~ So my gf and I became friends with our neighbors in the room next to ours at the Hyatt. These are some pics one of them, Sergio, took of our cosplays, and he was awesome enough to show up at the Saturday photoshoot.

One of my favorite cosplays I saw at the con. I was really happy that he showed up for the Hetalia shoot. Sitting and talking with him was also quite enjoyable cause I got to be a military geek around him. Photo credit is here.

Fang’s boots. First time making boot covers, which eventually I went, “boot…’cover’? This isn’t a boot cover, after all.” It’s not covering another shoe, not really; it’s sewn to a sandal sole. Hand-sewing it to leather left many punctures in my fingers, but I think it was worth it. Made the buckles as well.

9Finally got Fang’s shirt done…well, as ‘done’ to my expectations as possible. It was an easy concept, but given my measurements, it was difficult to execute. Because the back is quite open and straps would be more visible than I would like, I had to make a built-in bra, as I don’t think it appropriate to just wear a tank top with nothing under. I’m aware that the shirt length is a couple inches longer than hers and the straps are wider, but that’s my own personal preference, as I’m still nervous about showing so much skin in public… Yeah, I know I have the appropriate body type for dressing with little clothing, but I hardly desire to take advantage of it.

First time legitimately styling a wig (as wigs I’ve styled before were just combing the fibers into the appropriate place, though I did trim my pirate!Spain wig a bit here and there, and am kinda inspired to go at it again, now that my gf taught me a nice cutting trick). This is for Fang, for Acen. Used to be your typical dark long wig, with spiral(?) curls and the length came to a pointed end. Brushed out the curls, cut several inches off the bottom (and made it even across, instead of to a point), trimmed all around to add layers, Forced the front wefts, which faced forward (as is typical of wigs), to be brushed back, made a side part, added the side braid (shame you can’t see the three corn-row-esque braids that braid into the visible single braid), then made a hairline. Phew.
Also, I’m going to be one of few Fang cosplayers, I feel, who actually has long hair. Most people cut it to shoulder-length, and I’m like “why you do this.” At best I cut a couple shorter pieces to drape over my shoulders, cause it better frames my face. But the over-all length is appropriately long :)

Not much, but here is the cylinder thingy which Fang puts her weapon in. Since I do not think it is physically possible to put the weapon in, without extreme lack of balance, I am using it as a sort of pocket or something to put little things in.
