ABC Cosplay Challenge. It seems to be lurking around on Tumblr, and I’m unsure if I’m late to jump on the bandwagon or not, but who cares! I’m doing it anyway. Maybe this one will actually get done unlike all my other memes. OTL. It doesn’t seem like there’s any real rules only that you relate the alphabet to something cosplay-wise (not necessarily just your costumes, it could be a con, or “groups”, “photoshoots”, etc. It seems.) So without further aideu! 

A for Akito Sohma! 

I’ve dreamed about getting to cosplay this girl, and it finally came true with a pretty good, still small, but good group in 2011! It’s a comfy, lovely outfit constructed by the featured Hatori, actually. Hilariously enough. I love cosplaying her and I hope I get to do so soon again! She’s a beautifully constructed character and I love to portray her in some form of self-expression!

I am quite proud of it, especially since it was pretty much my first time making female clothing (my only previous experience was when I drafted a pattern for my gf’s fem!Romano cosplay, but she customized it herself and did all the work there). The ruffles took forever to do, as I didn’t have a ruffler foot and my sewing machine didn’t have the right setting for ruffles anyway, so I ruffled it all by hand…
